Before you call and email me... I suggest you check the Calendar... if the date you are looking for already has bands announced... then you'll have to find another date to pass through Sudbury.

What do you book? ... easier to tell you what we don't book... we DON'T book bands that perform top 40 covers or classic rock covers (there's a ton of other bars that do it... we're happy to be unique in our community). We DON'T book bands that play NEW COUNTRY. We don't have a DJ night. We have live music every night. We love Reggae, Ska, Punk, World, Soul, Funk, Garage, Indie Rock and Surf music... we also like rock, folk, heavy metal, jazz, blues,
What do you do during the week? From Sunday to Wednesday we generally have acoustic solo acts perform. No soundman. No Doorman. No Cover charge. We are basically a neighbourhood pub during the week and have worldclass bands every weekend. If you happen to have a fast rising single on rock radio across the country... we may do a weekday show for you. Otherwise... try to route through here on a weekend.
Can we make an exception this time? Stop asking the question. If we have turned you down for a show then come up with another date that fits into the booking scheme.
Who books the
bar? ... Paul Loewenberg is the booker. email is on this page. I
am at the bar every day but often only for a short

I called the bar, they gave me your phone number?... I book the bar and run the site, Facebook and MySpace stuff from home...they will give you my cel phone number... feel free to call me during reasonable business hours. Not on Sundays.
I emailed, I called - you still haven't got back to me? ... Between the Townehouse and the Festival, I get 500-700 emails each week. I respond to every email that I believe will result in a booking. If I haven't gotten back to you it is clearly because you have asked for a date that is NOT AVAILABLE.
The
Townehouse responded saying the date was full... should I email back offering
my band as an opener? ... NO. if we need an opening band, I'll ask
when you give the date. We don't need a fourth band on the bill. We don't need
you to play for free. You are better than that. If the bar is booked, go find
yourself another gig and call us next time you'll be passing through Sudbury.
We always make more of an effort for bands that are going to be coming through
here more often.
Where will my band stay when in Sudbury? ... The Townehouse has a bandhouse for the touring folks. There are 2 queens, a double, a single, a fold out couch, 2 more couches, a shower, TV, a private entrance. Pictures are HERE. The bandroom is kept clean... sheets are washed and changed everytime a band uses the room. This is not a party room, this is a living area for you... bands that leave bad messes don't get invited back.
